Rob Bullock is a British Writer and animal lover. He's a vegetarian too. He has had work published by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals and by The Christian Science Publishing Society, including the Kids Sentinel. He's also had various freelance articles published. Rob's a prolific writer and has written stories for very young children, 8-11 years, teenagers and grown ups.
He is currently working on a detective story this time for adults, a non fiction book about his home town of Settle in the Yorkshire Dales, and a children's ghost story set in a remote Scottish Highland Castle.
A member of the Society for children's book writers and illustrators Rob enjoys researching and writing on a variety of topics and subjects. As a child Rob's favourite children's books were Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and other stories by Roald Dahl, Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Graham, Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak, and anything by Richard Scarry. He currently enjoys reading books by Dan Brown and Patrick Robinson.
Rob supports many charities including Friends of the Earth, PETA, AnimalAid, The Dogs Trust and his local rescue group Bentham and District Pet Rescue amongst others. Links will soon be available from this website to all the groups he supports and works with.
After living in south west France for seven years Rob and his wife Kristen returned to live in the English Yorkshire Dales with their five dogs, eight cats, chickens and a turkey called Ernie in early 2008. All their animal friends are rescued animals who needed a home. They enjoy walking on the beautiful hills and fells of northern England with their friends, family and four legged friends.
